“It’s the people of Rathcormac that are being forgotten and it’s upsetting,” said Claire O’Flynn of the Rathcormac Residents Flood Group.
Claire is one of a number of residents of Rathcormac village who were affected by flooding in October 2023, which saw her home at Sunnyside affected as floodwaters rose in the village, entering her home for the second time since 2012.
Speaking with The Avondhu this week, Claire outlined that the residents of Rathcormac are now demanding action as they fear the flooding could happen again.
