By any stretch of the imagination, dairy farmer, Sean Barry, is an unlikely protester. Hard working, devout, civic minded and a pillar of the community, he was moved to action because of a Covid-19 inspired directive to close all the country’s churches.
In his own words he ‘half-heartedly’ agreed with the suspending of weekend masses, where sizeable crowds were likely to gather.
“What I’m doing at the moment is out of character, but it’s something I feel very strongly about and am determined to continue,” he says.
