Throughout the day on Sunday, people of all ages made their way to The Firgrove Hotel for the Psychic and Holistic Fair in aid of Kilbehenny Community Centre.

With readers, therapists and stalls with craft and gift items, the fair proved to be a hit with those who wanted to satisfy their curiosity and also those who were there to get a reading that might afford them a sneak peek into what the future holds.

Organiser Freddy Roberts brings a large number of these fairs to different locations around the country throughout the year, and he was prompted to hold a charity one for Kilbehenny Community Centre because his sister June Byrne lives there and is involved with community activities.

The community centre was recently refurbished, so it is hoped that the money raised will go towards the finishing touches that are yet to be completed within the buliding.

Freddy said that the Psychic and Holistic Fair would be a snapshot of the bigger shows that take place in the RDS and he said that each show is different, as some attract a large number of people interested in therapies and readings, while others tend to draw people who are more interested in purchasing gift or craft items.
