Concerns have again been raised regarding the fate of SouthDoc in Fermoy as a potential reduction in hours to the service has been lauded as a ‘phased closure’ of the service.
It is understood that a meeting recently took place among those involved in the local service in which calls are believed to have been made for a reduction in hours.
Reductions to the operating hours of the Fermoy Southdoc are now being sought, which would limit the service to between the hours of 6pm and 10pm, after which, patients will be required to avail of the ambulance service.
