Fermoy Municipal District has begun the process of ending its relationship with a a Polish council that declared itself an LGBTQ free zone.
The town of Nowa Deba is one of approximately 100 Polish municipalities that have adopted policies to target their local LGBT communities.
Activists in Poland have said there is now an ‘LGBTQ Free Zone’ in the country which is roughly the size of Hungary.
