It was time for the running shoes and sneakers in Presentation Secondary School, Mitchelstown as students and staff members took to the roads on Presentation Day, to raise money to help towards covering the cost of their new PE hall.

On the day, as well as celebrating Presentation Day - which falls on November 21 - they held a Mass for the school. Teacher Martha Kent said that the new PE hall, which facilitates their new canteen, run by Wrap It Up from Bandon, is a great addition to the school.

The students and staff members all braved the cold, as some ran and some walked the 7.3km bypass route.
