Postal delays are persisting locally, as customers in the Castlelyons and Rathcormac areas have reported late deliveries are continuing in the villages and surrounds.
A resident of Main Street in Castlelyons, Paul Foran, explained that a weekly delivery he normally receives on a Friday has not now been arriving until the following week. In order to receive his delivery on time, Mr Foran has resorted to visiting the sorting office in Fermoy himself to collect the item.
Delayed deliveries, it is understood, have been occurring in the area for around 7 weeks now.
