Plans are afoot to develop 32 new dwelling units in the grounds of the former Presentation Convent, located at Convent Hill in Mitchelstown.
Rockspring Properties (Newport) Limited intend to convert the old convent building into 6 properties, including 4 dwellings and 2 apartments.
The proposed development also comprises of 9 new detached dwellings, 12 new semi-detached dwellings and 5 new terrace properties.
Many of the historic features have unfortunately fallen victim to vandalism over recent years, with practically all of the stain-glass windows broken.
