Planning permission is being sought for the construction of 51 housing units in Mitchelstown at the site of the old Mart on George’s Street.
Bearing in mind the capacity issues at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Cork Marts CEO Sean O’Sullivan described the plans as ‘aspirational’, but said that if circumstances change, the company would be eager to move on developing the site.
