Planning granted for major Ballinacurra housing development

Planning permission has been granted, subject to conditions, for a major new housing development in place of the former Ballinacurra Mill buildings in east Cork. 

The decision clears the way for a scheme of 128 residential units on the Bennett’s Mill site, which suffered significant damage in fires in 2017 and 2023. 

The proposal by Ballinacurra Project Ltd includes 92 new houses that will comprise of 39 two-bedroom homes, 36 three-bedroom homes and 17 four-bedroom homes.
