Pieces offers an affordable upcycling service that encompasses customised refurbishments, quirky interior accessories, sustainable artisan designs and one-of-a-kind pieces! Pieces reimagines household treasures, family heirlooms, discarded furniture and more to create beautiful spaces and decorative objects.
Owned and operated by Geraldine Noonan, Pieces recently contributed to the upcoming series of DIY SOS; The Big Build Ireland. Working alongside some of the country’s most notable interior design houses and construction crews, Geraldine upcycled a whopping 17 pieces on set across 9 days. She notes that the experience was life-changing.
“From the challenge of the build itself and the level of work involved to see it to completion, to sampling new products and teaming up with highly skilled tradespeople willing to share their expertise, to the encouragement shown by the volunteers and supporters who never wavered in egging me on as we raced against the clock to get finished in time for the big reveal; From the ladies in the canteen keeping us hydrated (of course Cork was in the midst of a heatwave the week we were filming), to the local musicians and food vendors that kept our spirits and bellies full. I don’t believe I could have done what I did without them. They know who they are. Friends for life,” Geraldine said.
The TV show fronted by Baz Ashmawy which sees a community of people come together with a common goal – to better the lives of others, was a truly beautiful thing to be a part of.
“I walked away from the experience a stronger, more confident and compassionate person. For that I am most grateful,” Geraldine added.
At Pieces, Geraldine works hand in hand with her clients to achieve the desired results. She conducts in-person consultations during which time she will decide whether the project will be completed on-site, or in her workshop in Wilton.
