Here is Peg Murphy celebrating her century birthday surrounded by friends and family.
Peg, from Ballindangan turned 100 this week and had a small celebration at her new home in Douglas Nursing and Retirement Home.
The mother of eight had her children by her side for a short, Covid-19 controlled, birthday bash.
Gerard Murphy told The Avondhu that his mother had received dozens of cards from well wishers including from President Michael D Higgins and the Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
