Kilbehenny Community Hall saw a major turnout on Friday last as two parishes came together to congratulate Parish Priest, Fr Richard Kelly on his 50-year jubilee.

A native of Knockavilla, located between Cashel and Dundrum in County Tipperary, Fr Kelly came to the Anglesborough and Kilbehenny parish around 1997.

Kilbehenny’s Moss Fitzgerald noted that Fr Kelly had celebrated both his 25-year Jubilee and 40-year Jubilee with the parish.

“He’s a great man for both parishes. He’s involved in the two schools and is president of the GAA. He’s great with children and the elderly and he’s overseen a lot of development in the two villages,” Mr Fitzgerald said.
