People in Fermoy and surrounds say they are outraged having received appointments for Covid-19 vaccinations in Waterford city as opposed to much nearer vaccination clinics such as Mallow or Cork city.
One man told The Avondhu of receiving an appointment notification on Tuesday evening for his vaccination in Waterford, but said he will not travel.
“I’m not going to go. It's two hours to go there, and two hours to come back. My son would have to drive me and that’s four hours in the car with masks on,” the local man said.
He added that friends of his in the Castlelyons, Fermoy and Rathcormac areas have reported similar situations.
