A capacity crowd attended last Thursday’s thanksgiving Mass for Loreto Sisters – Sr Cecilia Walsh, Sr Ide Kiely and Sr Nuala Reidy in St Patrick’s Church, Fermoy.
Their departure from the town comes 166 years after the Order opened their school in Fermoy.
In the case of Sr Nuala Reidy, the Clonmel native has spent most of her adult life in Fermoy. Speaking on behalf of her fellow Sisters, Sr Nuala said they were leaving with heavy hearts.
