Season gets under way
Ballyporeen/Skeheenarinky Juvenile GAA Club, together with Ballyporeen Ladies football Club, are holding a fundraising cycle ‘On Your Bike to Bally’ on May 5th. It will be one of the main fundraisers for both clubs to help with the expenses incurred by the clubs throughout the year.
We have three routes which will cater for all ages and abilities. We have an 80km, 37km and 11km. Registration fee is €20 or cyclists may wish to take a sponsorship card to raise their €20. Every card with over €20 collected will go into a draw for a club hoodie or a county hoodie of your choice.
The cycle will start from the GAA field in Ballyporeen with the 80km cyclists starting at 11.30am followed by the 37km at 11.45am and then the 11km at 12noon. On returning from the cycle to Ballyporeen, everyone can relax and enjoy a barbecue and refreshments.
The 80km route starts at Ballyporeen, up to the R639 (old N8 main road) and to the first roundabout in Cashel and back to Ballyporeen (same route). The 37km route starts at Ballyporeen, up to the R639 and to Jim Carey’s Car Sales, Kilcoran and back to Ballyporeen (same route) and the final 11km route will stay locally.
To finish the day and unwind, the one and only ‘Willie Bun’ will entertain everyone that evening in O’Casey’s Bar & Lounge starting at 9pm.
If you want a sponsorship card or have any queries, please contact Helen on 087-1779687.
We would like to invite you all to join us on May 5th when your support would be hugely appreciated and a good day can be had by all.
