It came up on local radio during the week and has been the subject of some debate locally – ‘the official and unofficial road bowling’ in Fermoy.
Speaking in confidence to The Avondhu this week, the individual, aligned with the official bowlers, but not a competitive bowler, says there is some understandable confusion surrounding the current situation.
“Most people would be familiar with us, we are usually out the Ballyoran road, we might have been active for a small while during the restrictions, but, we knew it didn’t look good and decided to knock it on the head …” he said.
