Ronan Fenton, an accountant with leading firm KPMG scooped €20,000 at last Tuesday night’s Fermoy GAA & Pitch & Putt Club lotto.

Ronan’s grandmother, Frances Cranitch, does the lotto for him every week at Shinnick’s SPAR in Fermoy. Run by Brian Shinnick, this is one of the club’s busiest outlets for lotto sales – the winning numbers were: 04, 11, 15 & 26.

Ronan, accompanied by his entourage were in the Fermoy GAA/Pitch & Putt Club clubhouse last Sunday evening to take possession of the valuable cheque. GAA club chairman, Brendan Keane, congratulated Ronan on his good fortune and wished him well with his winnings, Brendan went on to thank the public for their ongoing support of the lotto.

Ronan was also congratulated by pitch and putt captain, Oliver Doyle.

Both a hurler and footballer with Castlelyons GAA, 24 year old Ronan said he was thrilled with the good news adding that he would take his time deciding what to do with the proceeds.
