Families from around north Cork turned out for the Operation Transformation Walk on Saturday morning, organised by the Cork Sports Partnership and the HSE South Health Promotion Department in association with the Irish Sports Council and RTE's Operation Transformation Programme.
CIT Bishopstown was the venue for the fourth annual walk which took participants from the CIT athletics track along the Curraheen River walk, finishing back at the track, a distance of 3.5km.
Cork's very own Operation Transformation leader, Deirdre O'Donovan from Carrignavar, was there to take part and lead by example and encourage others. Her mother Catherine O'Callaghan from Kilcully also took part.
