John McDonagh and his wife Natasha have been trying hard to find emergency accommodation over the past week having been given an eviction notice on Monday of last week, October 1.
The couple, who live with their four children in a mobile home in a picnic area on Cork Road, Fermoy, have been on the social housing list with over six years and although they were asked to move from the picnic area last week, the family feel they have nowhere else to go.
Mr McDonagh said he has contacted numerous hotels and B&B’s in the local area in recent days to try to secure emergency accommodation for his family but has been met with the same reply from all – 'no vacancies'.
“I’m trying my very best but I’ve no place to go,” Mr McDonagh told The Avondhu this week.
