The popular amenity of Glenabo will be a busy spot for local people during the coming months once the weather improves.

However, the fact that the footpath at Duntaheen stops approximately 200 metres before the entrance to Glenabo wood will once again become a cause for concern.

Cllr Noel McCarthy brought the issue to Cork County Council as he did a number of years ago and highlighted the potential risk to life to have people walking, some with children and dogs, on a busy road with no footpath.
