The tea and china themed day in the NCBI charity shop at New Square, Mitchelstown last Thursday was a great success, raising €440 for the charity which supports people with vision and sight problems.

The manager of the shop, Isobel Reader thanked the customers who supported the day, those who brought in baked goods, teabags and homemade jams and volunteers Carmel, Mary and Theresa who worked very hard on the day to make sure that it was a success and that everyone enjoyed it.

She added that the china sets sold very well on the day and with the tea room set up in the back, there was a nice relaxing atmosphere, with people popping in to support the day as they took a short break from their shopping.
