The 5th and 6th class pupils at Scoil Bhríde, Rathcormac are over the moon this week, having heard that they have been accepted into the Junior Entrepreneur Programme National Showcase in Dublin at the end of May.

The pupils created tie-dye socks for the project which they sold for a profit. A portion of the monies collected will go towards their bus to Dublin while the remainder was donated to Down Syndrome Ireland.

The idea for the product was closely linked to the ‘Rock your Funky Socks’ campaign which was organised by Down Syndrome Ireland and took place on World Down Syndrome Day March 21.

All the students are really looking forward to their trip to Dublin where they will showcase their product and get the chance to meet with thousands of other pupils from across the country.

Well done to all!
