The tools of the trade as far as Fermoy Rowing Club is concerned are modern, sophisticated and expensive boats that are essential for competitive racing. 

Wear and tear necessitates the replacing of such crafts and thanks to substantial National Lottery funding in addition to the club's own resources, Fermoy Rowing Club has been able to purchase 9 new boats. These vessels were launched at a 'naming ceremony' on Saturday evening last. 

At last weekend's ceremony, 9 boats were commissioned which entailed splashing them with Champagne …
