Musical Society hits right note with entertaining fashion show

Members of Fermoy Musical Society are always impeccably presented so it was no surprise that they took so easily to modelling at a fashion show fundraiser held in Fermoy Community Youth Centre on Friday night last.
One of the town's longest established organisations, the musical society (formerly Fermoy Choral Society) has been entertaining patrons for almost a century. Widely respected and drawing members from Fermoy and beyond, they can always be relied upon to put on a first class show.
A combination of high fashion and up tempo cabaret made for a most enjoyable couple of hours with Trevor Ryan, a most engaging MC. The event was also an opportunity for retail outlets to promote their wares and Hickey's, Joe Murphy's, Vanilla, Carma and Cummins Sports were all represented.
Organisers were very pleased with how things went and everyone who helped made the night possible were thanked. A special word of thanks is due to those who provided spot prizes for the well supported raffle. Regarding the paying public, they left having been brilliantly entertained by individuals who are very obviously passionate about what they do.
There's no overtime for Fermoy Community Youth Centre manager Kieran Barry and once again, he was in attendance to make sure all the 'i's were crossed and 't's dotted. For all cocerned, the event was an unqualifed success.
