Moving tribute locally to slain Garda Horkan

A memorial service for the late Detective Garda, Colm Horkan, involving members of An Garda Siochana, along with representatives from emergency services, took place in O’Neill Crowley Quay, Fermoy last Sunday morning. 

Speaking at the service, Chief Superintendent, Thomas Myers, said Detective Garda Horkan’s death had impacted on every member of the force.

He went on to talk about the role of ‘consentual policing’ being at the heart of law enforcement in Ireland.
