It appears that the cited 2025 date for an upgrade to Mitchelstown’s Wastewater Treatment plant is now a pipedream, as local councillors confirmed at a recent community council meeting that the project was now not a priority for Uisce Éireann.

This week the services company that it typically takes five to seven years for a project to go through its four stages, and they are still on the first stage.
