Mitchelstown Ladies Football Club

Our U14 girls travelled to Killavullen last Sunday morning to play the local club in the first round of the league. Everyone present was treated to an excellent game of football between two very good teams.

Our girls have been back in training for over six weeks and this stood to us, as we played very well as a team with some excellent passing and superb scores taken. We were happy to win a tough game but we have room for improvement which we will work on in the coming weeks.

On the day we had a panel of 20 girls with a number of girls also missing, so competition for places is strong.

On the 16th March our U14s played local rivals Galtee Gaels in a friendly game. This was a great workout for both teams and we would like to thank Galtee Gaels for hosting us and we look forward to returning the favour later in the year.
