After beating off stiff competition in the regional finals, Mitchelstown jewellery maker Heather Coleman is now one of just seven regional winners, who will be competing in the national final of the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurialism (NFTE) competition.

Heather showed the judges Maria Doherty and Padraig Casey how she had transformed her business, Heather's Jewellery, from one which started by making and selling handmade jewellery, to one which included jewellery making classes and using the classes as a form of birthday party entertainment.

The Port Project from Portarlington came second, while Mannix College from Charleville claimed third prize.
