As the countdown to St Patrick’s Day is on, Mitchelstown gets set for its annual St Patrick’s Day parade.

In tribute to all that Micheal Ó hAonghusa has done for the town and fittingly, in the year that the 50th anniversary of Mitchelstown Credit Union occurs, Micheál is to lead this year’s parade as the grand marshal.

As a former manager, founding member and first secretary of the credit union, the Festival of the Galtees committee felt it was a fitting tribute to all he has done for the town.
