The first Mitchelstown Gathering events, the Cuchulainn Long Puck and the Brendan Grace concert, went down well so far.

The first Gathering workshops took place on Saturday last in The Library. Those present were given ideas on how to organise a clan or family gathering. There were also discussions on how to trace family trees, ship passenger lists, graveyard inscriptions etc.

The next meeting is on Monday next, January 21 at The Firgrove Hotel from 7-8pm. All welcome to put forward ideas and help build a novel programme.

There is still time to enter the free draw for tickets to bring a friend or family member home from abroad to join in The Gathering festivities.
