Minister visits St George’s Arts & Heritage Centre

Malcolm Noonan, Minister for Heritage and Electoral Reform, with former Cork County Conservation Officer Mona Hallinan who now works for his Department and is intimately familiar with every aspect of the transformation of the Centre, with some of the board of directors - Andrew Dineen, Anne Morrisson and Bill Power, during last Friday's visit to Saint George's.

Carlow/Kilkenny TD and Minister of State for Heritage & Electoral Reform, Malcom Noonan, paid a courtesy visit to St. George’s Arts & Heritage Centre in Mitchelstown last Friday. 

Here, Mr Noonan met a delegation from the centre, led by Bill Power, Andrew Dineen and Anne Morrisson. Mr. Noonan was given the background to this restoration project, an account of progress made to date and an outline of future plans for the centre.

Deputy Noonan, who was accompanied by Department official, Mona Hallinan, gave the group a sympathetic hearing and said he was very impressed by the passion and enthusiasm of those associated with the former Church of Ireland building.
