A planning application for a healthcare facility at Mill Island, Fermoy has been deemed invalid on the grounds that the application did not comply with the stipulations of Article 329 of the Planning and Development Regulations.

The application was put forward to Cork County Council by UHPC International Ltd in early January to build a primary healthcare centre for the HSE and a general medical doctors' premises at the Mill Island site at Mill Road, Fermoy.

On the January 31, the planning department at Cork County Council issued a letter to the parties involved deeming the application invalid.
