Mark honoured once again at highest level

Mark Condren is becoming a household name at the AIB Press Photographer of the Year awards, as the Castletownroche photographer picked up two more awards at this year's event.

This year, Mr Condren picked up the first place award in the ‘Daily Life & People’ category for his image ‘Final Journey’ depicting funeral director, David McGowan, bringing a person's remains back to his funeral home in Sligo.

He also snapped up the AIB Sustainability Award for his image ‘Wading High’ which portrays Irish National Stud gardeners manually removing pondweed from one of their park lakes.

Non-use of pesticides is part of the Irish National Stud & Gardens sustainability and biodiversity plan.
