National champion horse carriage drivers John McMahon from Kilbeheny, Dan Joe Spillane from Ballinagree and Pat Fleming from Kilkenny who, along with 14 supports, drove a horse and carriage the length of Ireland for Breakthrough Cancer Research, have proudly presented Breakthrough Cancer Research with a cheque for €30,465.

The trip took 11 days to complete traveling down through Donegal, Sligo, Mayo, Galway, Clare, Limerick, Kerry and Cork. John, Dan Joe, Pat and all the team were delighted with the support they received in every town and village on-route and particularly with the homecoming they received in Macroom.

The above named, along with the Malin to Mizen committee, would like to thank the many businesses and individuals for their support since the charity drive was launched in the Green Glens Arena Millstreet back in March 2014 with special thanks to Joanne O’Riordan, Millstreet for her continued support.

Likewise, the team at Breakthrough Cancer Research would like to thank all the team who organised this fantastic event and to all those who supported the campaign.
