Major outpouring following passing of renowned Lismore travel writer Dervla Murphy

Tributes have poured in following the passing of Lismore based travel writer, Dervla Murphy, who died at age 90.

Among the tributes is one from President Michael D Higgins who extended his ‘deepest condolence’ to Dervla’s daughter Rachel, her grandchildren, and all her family and friends.

“People throughout Ireland, in her community of Lismore and far beyond to the many places in which she travelled, and they were many, will have been saddened to hear of the death of Dervla Murphy.
