Work will commence on a new pedestrian crossing and village park in Conna in October of this year as part of junction improvement works and the village enhancement scheme.
Plans were passed to improve the existing R628 junction layout, upgrade the existing pedestrian crossing to a flashing beacon zebra controlled pedestrian crossing with flashing belisha beacons and to provide a new school car park/set down area adjacent to the school.
The junction improvement works are located at the intersection of the R628 and L1516-118 in Conna, while the village enhancement scheme involves the creation of a new village green at the same intersection.
