A number of local students were involved when Challenge Science kicked off to unleash a world of fun, learning and amazement to more than 150 students in the National Maritime College of Ireland in Ringaskiddy on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.
Taking part were students from St Colman's College, Fermoy and Glanmire Community College among others and they were assisted by business volunteers from the Tech team in PepsiCo in the event which is now in its 5th year.
Challenge Science features hands-on workshops on forensic science, and careers in science, technology and engineering as well as a tour of the NMCI building in Ringaskiddy.
