Local establishments big winners in leading hospitality awards

County Cork proved to be a the big winner in leading the recently announced Georgina Campbell Irish Food & Hospitality Awards 2024, with premises in Castlelyons and Mitchelstown amongst the winners, while west Waterford had representation locally, with Lismore on the winners list.

Ballyvolane House in Castlelyons, a serial award winning establishment, claimed the Country House Hotel 2024 award under the ‘Small Stay’ category, while newcomer Barnahown B&B in Mitchelstown took the B&B category win. The Farmgate Lismore, Lismore, Co Waterford won the Newcomer of the Year under the ‘Memorable Moments’ category.

The prestigious awards, which are Ireland’s longest running food and hospitality awards, celebrate Ireland’s gold standard champions of the food and hospitality industries and in total, eight of the top awards went back to Cork.
