Two of Fermoy Municipal District’s councillors, Deirdre O’Brien and Kay Dawson, will be representing Cork County Council in the city of Detroit, Michigan for St Patrick’s Day.
They are members of delegations from Cork County who will be visiting not only Detroit, but also Chicago and New York as part of the St. Patrick’s Day festival.
The focus of the delegations is to promote Cork as an attractive destination for tourists and business, as well as “continuing to strengthen the connections between County Cork and the United States”.
