At the October meeting of Lismore Town Council, Cllr Bernard Leddy asked about the clock on the heritage building in the town, which he said hadn't worked for the past number of years. He enquiried as to whether it could be fixed.

At their November meeting on Monday night, Cllr Leddy noted that the clock appeared to have been fixed and is now chiming again. Other members had also noted it - but neither councillors nor officials knew how it happened. The mysterious recommencment of operations was greeted with some mirth but welcomed nonetheless.
