The gift shop at Lismore Heritage Centre hasn’t been performing as well as expected, members of Lismore Town Council were told at their monthly meeting on Monday night.

Cllr Ken Madden was delivering a report of a meeting of the Heritage Centre management. He sits on the Board of the centre. He said it was hoped its new online shop will generate more business.

The centre is being refurbished at present. The €300,000 facelift is aimed at making the visitor centre more user friendly. A grand reopening is planned for Easter.
