The village of Galbally has been enjoying the build up to Sunday’s All-Ireland hurling final.

With local man John Kiely, set to lead the team out at Croke Park, the anticipation and excitement is at fever pitch.

Huddled in discussions weighing up their prospects between Mulveys Café, the Men’s Shed, Cummins shop and O’Neill’s Post Office, the Limerick fans are easy to pick out.

“You can definitely feel the buzz, there is a great craic around the place leading up to the All-Ireland Final” said Galbally GAA secretary, Ger Cussen. “We know this team is going to perform.”

Of course the banter is great too and there is plenty of slagging with their Tipperary friends close by in Aherlow.
