Fundraising efforts for the Fermoy Christmas Lights got underway this week as the Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee launched for 2022.

The committee are now appealing to businesses and residents of Fermoy and surrounds to support the venture by contributing again this year to the festive lights.

Christmas lights in Fermoy town are to be switched on this year on Friday, November 25, coinciding with Black Friday to give local businesses an extra boost.

Speaking with The Avondhu, Cllr Noel McCarthy, Chairperson of the Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee, noted that the switch-on event will return in person this year, happening at 6pm on November 25 outside Synergy Credit Union.
