Kingston College keeping the sunnyside up

For a group of 26 elderly Mitchelstown residents living in Kingston College, the Covid-19 crisis cocooning directive has struck them hard. 

But Carole Bradley, who cares for the community, is leading a fight back against the virus and keeping the sunny side up for the people there. 

In the last two weeks the community suffered the loss of one of their most popular residents, Brendan Langlois Kennedy (79), who passed away suddenly from natural causes.

Many of the residents could not attend his funeral due to the restrictions but they have begun paying a unique tribute to their dead neighbour. 

“One of the things we did for the passing of Brendan was that, every night for the last week everyone lit a candle for him. He was also known for wearing bow ties, he was always smartly dressed.
