Elsa Quirke, Liadhbeth O’Sullivan and Diarmuid Towey, who are going to ‘Run for Ross’ on March 12 and invite you to join them.

Kilworth primary school Scoil Mháirtín, is hosting a fun run/walk ‘Run for Ross’ in aid of one of their teachers, Ross Hunter, who suffered a serious head injury last October.

The staff, children and parents of the school want to support Ross and his family on his road to recovery. They are hoping that as many people as possible from all over North Cork will take part in the 5K walk/run on March 12 at 11am.

While it will be a great family event, everyone is welcome to take part, no matter what their fitness level, to run or walk in Kilworth.

Ross Hunter is a much loved and respected teacher in the Kilworth area, who is also well known in GAA circles, as he was captain of the hurling team in Doneraile GAA Club.

Registration will take place in the school hall from 9.30am on March 12 and the run will commence from the GAA grounds at 11am.  It costs €5 per child, €10 per adult and €20 per family to take part.

Everyone who registers will be entered in a special draw which has some fabulous prizes including a hotel break, family passes to Curraheen Park, hampers and vouchers.

Of course there will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed runners on the day.  Please support Scoil Mháirtín and Ross Hunter on March 12.

Anyone looking for more information can ring the school at 025-27446.
