Family and friends gathered in O’Casey’s Bar, Ballyporeen last Friday night to celebrate the 90th birthday of John T Heffernan.
It was an occasion the Croughevoe native had been looking forward to for some time and the man himself was in great order as he received numerous good wishes from all the acquaintances he’s made over the years.
The Carey family, along with others, were to the fore in organising the party that had all the necessary ingredients – a big crowd, plenty food, music and most importantly of all, lots of craic.
