Friday, 5th November promises to be a magical night, as Jack O’Rourke, one of Ireland’s most gifted songwriters and well-established artists comes to Glengarra Mountain Lodge.

Nestled at the foot of the Galtees, and accompanied by the rustle of fallen leaves and the flowing Burncourt River, the concert promises to be special evening of music, accompanied by an art exhibition curated by Deirdre Dunne Fine Art.

The concert is taking place in a heated marquee attached to the lodge on the 5th November at 7.30pm, and attendees will be transported in style by shuttle from the Glengarra Wood Carpark to the Mountain Lodge.

Jack O’Rourke has been described as a “subtle and intense performer, his voice, a rich baritone capable of ethereal falsetto.” A Cork man by birth, he was voted October’s Cork Person of the Month.

He first came to prominence with his ode to misunderstood youth and growing up gay. Hi song ‘Silence’ became the torch song for the Irish Marriage Equality Referendum. His debut album, ‘Dreamcatcher’, was met with huge acclaim.

The piano player releases his third album, ‘Wild Place’, on the same date as his concert, 5th November.

Tickets are available through Eventbrite, and organisers will let ticket holders know if event plans chance in light of evolving Public Health guidelines.
