An information meeting aimed at establishing a Men’s Shed in Mitchelstown will be held at Forrest Hall on November 19 at 7pm sharp.
Guest speaker on the night will be Noel Dunne, a county Cork advocate for the Men’s Shed movement, while chairman of Blarney Men’s Shed, Donal Hayes will exhibit a PowerPoint presentation.
Also in attendance will be Denis Kelly, Development Officer of Cork County Federation of Muintir na Tire and Laura Moloney McCarthy, development officer with Ballyhoura.
It is hoped that with enough interest, a comfortable environment where local men have the opportunity to engage in social and training activities and projects can be formed.
The Men’s Shed is a place where they will be made to feel welcome, an informal environment where men can enjoy the craic and a joke, all in good spirits. The Men’s Shed has proven to be extremely popular all over the country.
Anyone interested is encouraged to come along on the night. Light refreshments will be served.
