Receiving First Holy Communion remains an important event in the lives of national school pupils.
On Saturday last, 11 pupils from Castletownroche received the sacrament in their local church – the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
The children concerned were: Daniel Adamovic, Donnchadh Dingivan, Michelle Kmiecik, Ciaran Magnier, Saoirse O'Connor, Shay O'Farrell, Liam O'Shaughnessy, Kadence O'Sullivan, Ciara Sheahan, Hannah Sheehan and Cuan Walsh.
These young people were very well prepared for the ceremony – something that was remarked on by celebrant, Fr. Pat Scanlan.
